The first Wordpress Dubai meet-up was set up in no time by Fouad with the help of Rida.
A nice geeky crowd mixed with bloggers and entrepreneurs was attending the event at the Montgomerie Golf club: a good 25 people made this express meet-up quite a success.
Matt Mullenweg was very open to our questions and the conversation was flying free-flow.
We had an interesting insight of the Automattic / Worpdress genesis and the growth strategy behind the scene.

Techcrunch50 is now over: this was the second edition and I must say that I was impressed by the panel of startups and the panel.
This second edition was a real success and following it from Dubai was truly a great experience with the helpof Twitter, live streams and comments.

The winner is Yammer, not my favorite but a really well executed Enterprise Grade Twitter.

I like the concept of Devunity, an online collaborative development platform for the mobile geek or the impatient coders.
Popego gave an excellent presentation of their social interests platform.
iCharts, IMHO, as a killer product for bringing dynamic charting and simplicity to your excel sheets.
And my special mention goes to Tonchidot: these japanese were truly the highlight of the show. Don’t miss the Q&A session here.
